Description:

The 1769-CRR3 expansion cable is a CompactLogix series expansion cable from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is 1 meter or 3.28 feet in length. The 1769-CRR3 expansion cable is used to make right bank to right bank connections in CompactLogix systems. Only 1 expansion cable like the 1769-CRR3 expansion cable needs to be used in a CompactLogix system that has been configured with an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1500 series controller, and no CompactLogix system can host more than 2 expansion cables at a time. The 1769-CRR3 expansion cable can operate at a maximum temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit, a maximum non-condensing relative humidity rating of 95%, and a maximum altitude of 2000 meters above sea level.

  • About 1769-CRR3

The 1769-CRR3 is a programmable logic controller that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley and which belongs to the compact block I/O series. This device is a module AB which comes with an output on-state voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts DC and a maximum output on-state current of 0.5 mA. This series is a one-of-a-kind series since it comes with 16 outputs and 0 inputs, whereby all the outputs are available in groups of 4 or 8. For the reason that the 1769-CRR3 comes with numerous high-performance features, such as I/O circuits and a remote I/O adapter, this module is ideal for applications that require less space. Additionally, it helps in cutting down overall costs, since the user will not be required to install an external power supply or adapter for the device. The user can also use removable termination features when installing the drivers, thus eliminating the need for re-wiring.

This device comes with a range of on-state voltages outputs between 10 and 30 Volts DC, whereby the maximum on-state current output of 1769-CRR3 is 0.5 A. It has three indicators which include status indicators, communication indicators, and I/O indicators. Note that this module has three communication rates which are based on the distance. This means that if the distance is long, the rate of communication will be lower. Therefore, the 1769-CRR3 has a communication rate of 230.4 Kbps when the distance is 762 meters. Contrariwise, this product will have a communication rate of 57.6 Kbps when the distance is 3048 meters.  Before this module is turned on, make sure you say the baud rate using the DIP switches. As mentioned above, the 1769-CRR3 is a 16 sourcing output base module that belongs to the family of Compact Block I/O Modules for DeviceNet. Apart from having the built-in DeviceNet adapter, it also contains a couple of I/O circuits and an integral power supply. This device is compatible with any programmable controllers that use DeviceNet scanners such as PLC, SLC, and SoftLogix. Additionally, all values in the device can be retrieved via the data tables of the PLC or SLC programmable controller. The 1769-CRR3 is suitable for any application that needs highly distributed I/O blocks close to actuators and sensors. It is also ideal for any application where there is a limitation of space.
